6Lab Academy grew from a simple belief: exposure matters. The more children get to try, the more possibilities they can imagine for themselves. Families should also know exactly who is supervising, teaching, and spending time with their child. That is why this page exists.
Why I created 6Lab
6Lab grew from a simple belief: exposure matters.
Children benefit tremendously from being introduced early to STEM, technology, engineering, design, cooking, and real-world problem-solving. Not because every child needs to become an engineer or a scientist, but because learning how to question, build, experiment, troubleshoot, and keep trying gives children tools they can carry into almost anything they choose to do.
STEM is not valuable only because the world needs more programmers. It teaches children how to approach problems, ask why, test ideas, recover when something does not work, and try again. Those are powerful skills far beyond a STEM classroom.
Homework support and academic skill-building remain an important part of 6Lab, but childhood should also include exploration. Here, students can encounter different disciplines, build practical skills and confidence, and discover interests they may carry with them for years.

Small by design
6Lab is intentionally a small-group environment because relationships matter too.
Families should know who is supervising, teaching, encouraging, and spending time with their child. Students should feel known rather than lost in a crowd. A small group means each student's academic needs are understood, activities can follow their interests, and someone notices when a child needs extra help or encouragement.
The number 6 in 6Lab represents the six pillars of the 6Lab Method, not a permanent capacity. The founding cohort is simply small enough for every student to be known well.
“My goal isn’t to decide what a child should become. It’s to give them more skills, more exposure, and more possibilities as they figure that out for themselves.”
